The probiotics in PROBIOTIC 20 promote clear skin in a number of ways. Probiotics can decrease sebum production and support a healthy inflammatory response via regulation of cytokines. Furthermore, probiotics support healthy levels of Propionibacterium (Cutibacterium) acnes, an acne-associated bacterium. In one study, a group of female patients with acne received only minocycline, another group only probiotics, and a third group minocycline plus probiotics.
